Gearing up for Hunting (continued)
It's always fun dusting of the recurve and launching a few arrows at the hay bales.
I hope to be a little more consistent before I am ready for hunting. As
the archery season is just a few weeks away, my shot needs to tune up soon.
Jacob has been having fun practicing with me. He is mostly going for distance and
kind of ignoring the target.
He always takes his little compound bow out when I am shooting mine. I have
to place the arrows on the string, but when it's in place, he strains with all
his might against the bow string as he pulls it back in place. Jacob tries
so hard that his arm sways back and forth, as does the arrow tip, when he muscles
the string back. Once it is back, he aims it up and in front of him and let's it fly.
Thankfully, his bow does not have the power to launch an arrow into the neighbors
yard but it makes for an impressive showing for a three year old kid.
